History

History

We believe in the importance of understanding the past to build the future. We explore national and world
history many different ways including hands-on learning projects that put our students “in the shoes” of
important historical figures. We also encourage our students to examine their own family history to
promote awareness and self-reflection.

Wax Museum

History meets theater when our students research then dress up as historical figures for our
in-class wax museum. Our students choose a significant historical figure, study, dress up, and
present as if they were the individual. This hands-on project fosters a deep understanding of
history by pushing our students to understand the historical context and personally connect
with important historical figures.
